TikTok Becomes Tomorrowland’s Official Content Partner In Global Deal

TikTok has announced a year-long partnership with electronic dance music festival Tomorrowland, designating the platform as Tomorrowland’s Official Content Partner.

The partnership centers on Tomorrowland 2025, scheduled to take place over two weekends in July in Boom, Belgium. TikTok will offer LIVE streams of headline acts, creator-led content, and a dedicated #Tomorrowland in-app hub serving as a comprehensive festival experience for global fans. Additionally, CapCut and Tomorrowland will launch an official template enabling users to create festival-themed content.

“We are thrilled to once again partner with Tomorrowland to bring the best of dance music to the global TikTok community of #ElectronicMusic lovers – this time for the whole year,” said Michael Kümmerle, Global Head of Music Partnership Development at TikTok, in an announcement.

Music Creation and Distribution

SoundOn, TikTok’s music distribution service, will collaborate with Tomorrowland Music on a songwriting camp ahead of the festival. This initiative will produce original music to be performed live at Tomorrowland and distributed by SoundOn, extending the partnership beyond content sharing into music creation.

The collaboration builds on existing engagement, with #Tomorrowland posts having accumulated over 10 billion views on TikTok. The platform’s Tomorrowland 2023 festival livestream attracted 16 million viewers.

Music Industry Impact

This partnership comes amid growing evidence of TikTok’s influence on music industry performance metrics. Recent research by TikTok and Luminate reveals that 84% of songs entering the Billboard Global 200 in 2024 achieved viral status on TikTok before charting.

The study indicates artists with strong TikTok engagement experience average weekly streaming growth of 11%, compared to 3% for those with lower platform correlation. TikTok users demonstrate higher music consumption engagement across multiple metrics, spending 48% more time streaming music than average U.S. listeners and being 68% more likely to subscribe to paid music streaming services.

The Tomorrowland partnership will extend to the festival’s other live music properties, including Unity at Sphere, Tomorrowland Brazil, and Tomorrowland Winter, offering brands opportunities to engage with TikTok’s electronic music community, where posts tagged with #electronicmusic have generated over 34 billion views.
